This home-grown Jeddah brand appears to have cracked the code on what makes a brilliant burger. With multiple locations and hungry diners frequently filling tables, we would say that the masses agree. Simplicity is not always easy, nor is breaking out of burger concepts, but Section-B has smashed through things, with its variety of burgers and sliders. Even the fries are said to be some of the best in town. The single dessert, banana pudding, also comes highly recommended. HIGHLY COMMENDED: SMPL BRGR
If you like to keep things straightforward, then SMPL BRGR is likely the thing for you. The recently opened Jeddah restaurant is said to be the first in the city to use a Japanese milk bread bun, and it’s little changes like this that have already helped define the Al Zahra venue. Same goes with the SMPL and Snobby sauces. Sometimes less is more, and SMPL BRGR showcases just that. Although, if you’ want to be a bit extra, there brand does offer a more OOO options, including Not Simple Fries and a Bacon Jam Burger.
HIGHLY COMMENDED: The Plan
These burgers should be a part of your regular plans. Tucked away in a corner of Atelier La Vie, this burger joint certainly isn’t hidden away from diners as patrons fill up the expansive space in search of smashed patties made with quality beef and fresh toppings. There are more inventive options in terms of burgers (beef) and chicken, and sliders, with fun names like the I See Red Slider. Top off your meal with the Mont Plan cake or The Do Not (aka doughnuts). We told you the eatery had a playful vibe.
SHORTLISTED: Burger Boutique
As the name alludes to, these aren’t basic burgers, but a step above. Head over to the industrial-chic restaurant to enjoy signature burgers, sliders and even salads along with the rest of the hip crowd. Burger Boutique describes itself as a ‘modern burger revolution’, and the eatery is focused on whipping up organic grass-fed beef that’s free of antibiotics and hormones. The care for ingredients extends to the fries and also the packaging, which is made from 100 percent recycled paper. Work your way through the smashed beef burgers and chicken burgers and try to find a favourite. There are a variety to choose from with many drawing inspiration from the US.
SHORTLISTED: Chef’s Homemade Burger Gourmet
The carnivore offering at Chef’s Homemade Burger Gourmet is upped further than the bog-standard place with Chef’s Homemade Burger Gourmet with burgers, brisket and ribs all being key players on the menu. The smokehouse has outposts across Saudi, and in Jeddah it is slinging up wagyu beef burgers that you need to try. You can pair your burger with fries, plus, you can also add smoked brisket as part of a box.
SHORTLISTED: Graffiti Burger
This trendy burger bar has branches across Saudi from Taif to Riyadh. Lucky for us, we have Graffiti Burger bringing its neon aesthetic and banging burgers to Jeddah, too. With lots of burger joints to choose from, the vibe of a place can be a deciding factor. Head over to Al Zahra for a casual vibe and – yup, you guessed it – plenty of neon graffiti on the walls and packages. Burgers take an equally colourful approach with saucy, messy and inventive toppings from crushed Cheetos to eggs. If you like a sauce-laden buger, these are for you. Ready the napkins.

It is all about the layers in a brilliant burger, and that is certainly highlighted at the aptly named Layers Burger Grill. As the brand says, each layer counts. The attention to detail is evident across the menu from the Hawaiian BBQ Burger to the Juicy Lucy to even the cheesy chicken fries. This is one Jeddah burger joint that stacks up.

If you’re looking for a burger that ticks all the boxes, Melt Ground’s got it. Head over to the Ar Rawdah spot for one of the ‘passionate burgers’ as the brand calls them. After a few bites, you will see how this passion carries over, whether you’re sampling a Spicy Chicken Burger or plumping for The Wagyu Burger. Best burger in Jeddah? This eatery is on the list.

One off the more upscale burger joints in the city, Pleo offers an elevated on the burger with ingredients to match. But, note that the An Nahdah restaurant might have a mocktail bar and a larger menu with appertisers and wagyu and truffle, but it still a welcoming, family-friendly spot where all can enjoy a brilliant burger. Gourmet burgers such as Le Truffle, Marble, Wagyu Royce and Rare for beef and Daily and Miso Fried Chicken burgers are all presented with flair by friendly staff. Are the best burgers in Jeddah? Like Jeddah, America is often touted as the place that has perfected the burger. At The California Burger, we get the best of both. The simple menu is focused wholly on beef freshly ground Angus beef patties. Choose from single, double and even a five-layer burger, if you’re feeling particularly ravenous. The patties are place between toasted buns and topped with lettuce, tomato, fresh or caramelised onions and all the American cheese, then sauced up with homemade Cali sauce. Are you drooling yet?
