Guests explored space in an immersive constellation show influenced by the rich history and culture of AlUla. They watched the world’s longest drone show, in a 34-minute fantastic performance of drones sharing the sky with the magnificent stars, drawing ancient constellations. They dined on delicious galaxy inspired dishes, desserts and more. Using high-tech telescopes, guests gazed deeper into the night skies with newfound knowledge.
A high-tech, modern take on stargazing, Constellations was a new sight and sound experience offered only in AlUla. Set in a remote location deep in the desert, perfectly dark skies gave way to bright shining stars. Guests dined on a carefully curated menu of galaxy inspired canapes and main dishes. Seated in a specially made theatre, guests watched drones fly through the night sky in an epic 34-minute show, the longest drone show in the world, highlighting the various visible constellations while listening to tales of how different ancient civilisations have used them, from storytelling to navigation and more. Guests ended the night with stargazing, delicate desserts and soul-warming hot drinks
It’s no secret that AlUla, located in the north western region of Saudi Arabia, is an amazing destination for stargazing on any given night, and now the city is bringing visitors closer to the magic of its skies by putting on a show that aims to leave you in awe. Constellations is an immersive show set to run from March 1 to 20, 2022 that is giving visitors a high-tech way to stargaze.
Every night, drones light up the evening sky over Madakheel, with formations recreating constellations. The show is said to run for 30 minutes, making it the longest running drone show of its kind. It’s in English with the option to listen to Arabic translations. Before the show, visitors will be treated to carefully curated mocktails, appetizers, and galaxy-inspired dishes served in the central café.
