Saudi Arabia’s Al Yanfa Village is being turned into a tourist destination

The mountainous area is home to green landscapes and historic mosques.

Saudi Arabia is brimming with exciting developments. Now, Al Yanfa Village has announced the completion of its renovations. Located in the Tamniah district, the historic area underwent a transformation in order to become a destination for visitors. So, if you’re looking for a trip with a difference, here’s what you need to know.

Located in southwest Saudi Arabia, Al Yanfa Village is 45 kilometres away from Abha and sits on the mountain range in the Asir region. The area is home to historical sites including mosques, fortified structures and green landscapes.

Al Yanfa

As Al Yanfa Village sits on slopes, the architects were required to think innovatively about the area and its changes. Spanning more than 60,000 square metres, the aim was to make the village easier to navigate for visitors. The development includes courtyards and crisscrossing tunnels. The changes help create air ventilation, which is crucial for the summer months. Plus, illuminated fixtures were added to the courtyards and pathways.

The developments in Al Yanfa Village have been created in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to attract local as well as international tourists to the Kingdom. If you’re looking for undiscovered sites in Saudi Arabia
