 Saudi Arabia’s largest valley

About Saudi Arabia’s Largest Valley

The Sarawat Mountains located south and west of Saudi Arabia host a number of valleys that are home to vast spaces of greenery and many lakes.

One of them is the Qununa Valley, which is one of the more popular valleys as it is one of the largest, with a height of over 108 kilometers.

The rivers flowing through this valley start from the tops of the Sarawat and Hijaz Mountains, and flows west toward the city of Qunfudah. It is characterized by the abundance and clarity of its water, orchards and variety of agricultural crops like wheat and sesame. The valley I also known for palm tree cultivation.

The valleys south of the kingdom are important tourist destinations that contribute to the revitalization of internal tourism. They provide a place for entertainment and camping where many families and tourists spend their leisure time by the lakes.

Photographer Mohammed Dakhikh captured these scenes where the lakes and greenery meet unique rock formations.
