Held at King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh, The Saudi Cup is an exciting two days of top tier on-track horse racing action consisting of 16 races and boasting a combined prize purse of USD$35.35m.
This makes The Saudi Cup, now in its fourth year, the most valuable horse racing event in the world and the greatest racehorses, jockeys, trainers and owners will travel to Riyadh to compete against the very best of Saudi’s racing industry for a slice of the winnings. For two days at the end of February, Riyadh will become the centre of the racing world and you have the chance to be there.
Saudi Cup Prize Money
The Saudi Cup is worth a mammoth USD$20million, including USD$10million for the winner.
The Group 3 Longines Red Sea Turf Handicap is worth USD$2.5million and the Group 2 Obaiya Arabian Classic is worth USD$2million. The eight-race card carries a total prize pot of USD$31.5million.
Saudia Arabia Cup Racecourse
Opened in January 2003, the King Abdulaziz Racecourse is the largest horse racing venue in Saudi Arabia and is officially named King Abdul Aziz Equestrian Square.
The main track is a 2000m dirt track, which is 24m wide, and an 1800m turf track was added in January 2020. Races run anti-clockwise and are held at the track from September to April.
