The music and cultural festival continues into 2023
It’s the first day of winter, and fittingly it’s also the start of Winter at Tantora 2022 in AlUla. From hot air balloon rides, foodie pop-ups to plenty of shopping, there promises to be something for everyone at the festival.
The latest edition of Winter at Tantora is beginning with three days of festivities with – what else – Celebrate Tantora.
This marks the fourth edition of Winter at Tantora, and the 2022 event is a music and cultural celebration across AlUla, from Old Town to Ashar Valley to the famous mirrored Maraya.
From Thursday December 22 to Saturday December 24, enjoy traditional dancing, live performances and foodie opportunities. A live orchestra and 200 performers are part of the Winter at Tantora 2022 opening.
Shows are taking place from 6pm to 7pm, 8pm to 9pm, and 9.30 to 10.30pm from Thursday December 22 to 24. Tickets are SAR80 for adults and SAR20 for kids. All tickets for the Tantora Celebration and Winter at Tantora 2022 can be booked at experiencealula.com.
We’re just getting started with Winter at Tantora 2022 events. There are three huge Saudi concerts happening, beginning with Majid Al Mohandis at Maraya on Friday December 23.
The big music events continue with Mohammed Abdo on Friday December 30 and Syrian singer Assala performing at the same venue on Friday January 13.
If you’re unable to make it over to AlUla, the Winter at Tantora 2022 concerts will be shown on MBC TV channels and the AlUla Moments YouTube channel.
Want to take your experience to new heights? You could enjoy a hot air balloon ride in AlUla and newly launched oasis Khaybar. You haven’t really experienced this historic region of Saudi unless you’ve seen it from the skies.
Choose from a 15-minute tethered balloon or a 45-minute untethered balloon experience in AlUla an a tethered ride in neighbour Khaybar.
Foodies, you definitely aren’t forgotten about with Winter at Tantora 2022. Spanish dinner show experience Mamzel is opening for the season, and AWNA restaurant has launched a candle-lit dining experince among the carvings of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hegra.
Look out for more pop-ups in AlUla’s newest distrinct, AlJadidah. There is everything from cafés to casual eateries to fine-dining restaurants, including Middle Eastern-Mediterranean fusion spot Somewhere and coffee roasters and chocolate maker Meraki.
We can even look forward to AlUla Citrus Festival on Friday January 6 to Saturday January 7 and Friday January 13 to Saturday January 14.
Ashar Valley Fashion is hosting luxury retail pop-ups in the famous area from Friday December 23 to March 23. Shop daily from 4pm to 11pm across brands like Assouline, Michael Cinco, Azza Fahmy, Vianney Halter, and The Terrace by L’opera.
Winter at Tantora is part of the Saudi Seasons. We have even more Saudi Seasons excitement to still look forward to with Riyadh Season and Diriyah Season happening simultaneously.
Riyadh Season has many top events to check out now, plus, Imagine Dragons and BLACKPINK concerts soon, while Diriyah Season is bringing plenty of concerts and the Italian Super Cup 2023.
