The annual art event will light up the city with dazzling displays Let there be light.Noor Riyadh 2023 is heading back to the Saudi capital. In an Instagram shared on Tuesday August 22, Riyadh Art revealed the new installment’s return. Riyadh is an annual light and art event and the largest light art festival in the world. The event, which was introduced as part of the Riyadh Art Initiative, nurtures and supports local and international creativity through illuminating artworks scattered throughout the Saudi capital. It is one out of four projects launched by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City for Vision 2030.
Noor Riyadh 2023 will mark the third edition of the illuminating event. The first took place in 2021 and the second followed in 2022.The first edition took place in two locations including King Abdullah Financial District and the second edition was held in four main locations including JAX Diriyah.
Last year’s festival saw activations in 40 locations, 500 events across the city and over 190 artworks by 130 local and international artists winning it six dazzling Guinness World Records.
