New Restaurants in Riyadh, June 2023
Gymkhana
You can now eat your way through India right here in Riyadh. Gymkhana is the latest addition to Via Riyadh’s never-ending restaurants. Coming to the city from London, this new spot offering modern twists on classic dishes with menu items including beetroot chops and kasoori chicken. The vibe of the eatery is enough to have you dunking that naan into its signature curries.

Madeo
Who doesn’t love comforting Italian food? Los Angeles-based Madeo has made its way to Via Riyadh. Here to stay, the fine-dining restaurant is all about classic Italian dishes that promise to have you feeling filled and satisfied. The menu has a variety of dishes to choose from for every Italian craving you might have including pasta, breaded chicken and desserts including Dover sole, spaghetti alla bolognese, and the famous Italian millefoglie made up of layers of custard.

Mallow
Riyadh’s latest addition to its brunch scene, Mallow has a variety of menu items to bite into. The new brunch spot is open until 11.30am on Friday, 3.30pm Sunday to Thursday, and 3.30pm on Saturday with dishes like the Mallow eggplant and Mallow breakfast bowl, as well as classic brunch eats like eggs, French toast, and pancakes.

Wagyumafia
Self-taught chef Hisato Hamada has opened his wagyu-focused restaurant Wagyumafia in Via Riyadh. Open daily from 6pm to 11.30pm, the eatery specialises in Japanese wagyu beef and Kobe beef cuts. Starting off as an exporter of Wagyu, the brand gained popularity for its well-known katsu sando. The restaurant is also recognised for its private members club with its very own set menu.

Yakinikumafia
Yakinikumafia is by Wagyumafia and is also located in Via Riyadh. The eatery has a slightly different concept than the latter with a more hands-on cooking technique over a traditional Japanese grill, meaning you’ll be able to cook up your own meal over the grill, varying from the concept of Wagyumafia. Roll up those sleeves and get to grilling.

Bagatelle
The wait is finally over. If you’re looking for a place that gives you fine-dining Parisian vibes, Bagatelle is likely the place for you. The French-Mediterranean eatery is officially opened its doors in Riyadh in one of the capital’s well-known dining destinations, Laysen Valley. Riyadh for the very first time in Laysen Valley. Serving up homemade gnocchi with truffle sauce and parmesan, sea bass carpaccio, and fettuccine with grilled lobster, you don’t want to miss the dark chocolate fondant souffles for dessert.

Chi Spacca
This Los Angeles-born restaurant has hit the luxurious grounds of Via Riyadh. Focused on an open-fire grill and wood oven cooking techniques, Chi Spacca is one of the new restaurants in Riyadh that promises to offer special cuts of meat for all your carnivores. Inspired by a holiday in Italy, the new eatery’s opening marks its first entrance into Saudi. Bring on the meat and sharpened knives.

Entrecôte Café de Paris
Steak fans, a new Entrecôte Café de Paris just opened in Laysen Valley. You can never have enough steak, especially when it’s served as part of a single-formula menu, doused in a special homemade butter sauce (that’s top secret), with a side of refreshing garden salad. Oh, those signature profiteroles are even closer now, too.

Ferdi
The famous Parisian cheeseburger that everyone talks about is here and ready for you to bite into. Now open at Via Riyadh, Ferdi is known for its special ooey-gooey melted cheese burgers and unique décor. With frames all over the wall and mixes of red and black interiors, what stands out the most is the wall of toys, from play cars, a hanging monkey, and miniature figurines of famous Disney character, there’s nothing ordinary about Ferdi.

L’ami Dave
Bonjour. Oui, oui, L’ami Dave has opened at Mansard Riyadh: A Radisson Collection Hotel. A new fine-dining restaurant in the city to dress up for, the French concept pays tribute to classic French dishes including escargots (snails), and carpaccio de boeuf with black truffle. The restaurant was founded by Mario Carbone, Jeff Zalaznick and Rich Torrisi.

Les Deux Magots
We’re noticing a lot of Paris openings in the capital lately, but we’re not complaining. Les Deux Magot is famous the world over, and now the popular Paris coffee spot is here in Riyadh. From croissants to smoked salmon, and the famous Croque Madame, as well as sugary cakes paired with a cup of coffee or the signature rich hot chocolate.
