Celebrity favourite Mr Chow will open in Riyadh on 5 October

A-listers including Adele, Bella Hadid and Justin Bieber have been spotted at Mr Chow. With restaurants across America, from Beverly Hills to New York City, the celebrity hangout is finally coming to the Middle East. The brand will make its debut in Riyadh on Thursday, 5 October, and here’s what to expect. 

Mr Chow Riyadh

The OG Mr Chow opened in London on Valentine’s Day in 1968, and customers have been falling for its authentic Beijing cuisine, especially the duck, ever since. Today, the restaurant can also be found in Miami and Las Vegas. The clientele has included stars from the world of entertainment, music, sports, politics and fashion. The hip hangout attracted the likes of Jasper Johns, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol.

Mr Chow Riyadh

The Riyadh restaurant will be located in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). The opening has been created in partnership with MJS Holding, which was founded by restauranteur Mohammed Jawa. Both Mohammed Jawa and Michael Chow will be at the grand opening of the restaurant.

Michael explained: “I’m thrilled to bring the timeless elegance and culinary excellence of Mr Chow to Riyadh, the vibrant heart of the Middle East. This marks a remarkable chapter in our journey, and I’m excited to share our unique blend of art, culture, and cuisine.”

KAFD

Mr Chow has gained a reputation for its fine dining food and excellent service. The team aim to bring cinematic glamour to the city, as the décor will combine art and design. The Mr Chow Riyadh menu will be curated by Executive Chef Jia He. The highlights include the Chicken Satay, Green Prawns, Peking Duck and handmade noodles. Guests will also be able to watch the Insta-worthy hand-pulled noodle show.
