NEOM to have the world’s largest coral garden

Whether you’re after sand or snow (yes, really), Saudi has it all – and often in unique, record-breaking ways. If you prefer a beach vacation in the Kingdom, you could be enjoying the world’s largest coral garden at the proposed Shushah Island resort from NEOM.

NEOM has previously confirmed that it will have the world’s largest coral garden, and photos of what the development could look like at Shushah Island were shared by Hotelier Middle East.

First mentioned in 2021 as the potential home to the world’s largest coral garden, NEOM’s Shushah Island looks like it could be one of the brilliant Saudi hotels. The proposed property appears to be a place for the ultimate beach getaway with waterfront hotels and villas, a museum and beach club.

The imagery highlights that the museum will be underwater.

NEOM’s coral reef is confirmed, but Shushah has yet to be given the official green light. We will be sharing every exciting NEOM development.

The NEOM coral garden is planned to be completed in 2025, and they are projected to be the world’s first and largest repository for Red Sea species of coral.

NEOM is bringing many pioneering firsts to the world. The GCC’s first outdoor ski resort, Trojena, is already in the works, along with a range of exciting hotels, including The Chedi and Collective Trojena. Furthermore, construction of vertical city THE LINE is already underway with video footage showing the progress of the futuristic Saudi city so far.

We will hopefully be able to jet to everything easily thanks to the confirmed launch of NEOM Airlinessoon.
