Six Senses is the latest wellness pioneer headed to Amaala

The iconic wellness brand joins the likes of Clinique La Prarie and Jayasom in opening at the Red Sea destination

Pioneering wellness operator Six Senses is headed to Amaala. The luxurious eco-conscious brand is set to bring its second hotel to Saudi Arabia with a property that will form part of Triple Bay, one of the key developments within the Amaala masterplan.

The news was confirmed by Hassan Allam Construction Saudi, the company that will carry out the construction of the property. As reported by zawya, the Six Senses Amaala will feature a hotel, hotel villas and residential villas, which will unroll along an area of 41,000 square metres. While we don’t know much more than that right now, Six Senses are renowned for their intuitive, local-first approach with a holistic, sustainability-driven edge, so we’re sure the resulting property will be show-stopping.

Hassan Allam are also in charge of constructing Rosewood Amaala, another of the hotels already confirmed for the coastal megaproject on Saudi’s northwest coast. Like Six Senses, Rosewood Amaala will comprise of both hotel rooms and residences.

Alongside Rosewood, Six Senses joins an existing, wellness-focused line-up at Amaala that includes the 65-room Clinique La Prarie health resort, which will house a diagnostics lab, museum, beach club, workshop and training rooms, private dining space, and even a cooking school; and Jayasom Wellness Resort, an integrative multi-generational health offering at Triple Bay. It will include 153 tastefully furnished guest rooms and 24 branded residences, with a focus on immersing guests in a journey of personal transformation.

The first phase of the development is slated for completion by 2024 – not long to go now – and will consist of more than 1,300 hotel rooms across eight different resorts. The complete integrated wellness destination is slated for completion by 2027.

Another Six Senses heads to Saudi

Before the Red Sea property, Six Senses will debut in Saudi Arabia with a breathtaking desert resort at The Red Sea project. Called Six Senses Southern Dunes, the property is one of only two hotels opening on an inland site at The Red Sea, nestled within desert mountains and narrow wadis. The 76-room resort is split between 36 guest rooms in the main building, and a collection of 40 villas ranging in size from one to four bedrooms are dotted strategically across the peaks to offer panoramic views of the breathtaking natural landscape. Everything will centre around the Oasis, where the hotel reception, lobby, community lounges, and meeting spaces are located. It will also house the hotel’s signature Earth Lab is, an ecology area showcasing their sustainability efforts to reduce consumption, produce locally, and support communities and ecosystems.
