The restaurant terrace boasts panoramic views of Jeddah
Akiba Dori Jeddah marks a proud moment for founder Samer Hamadeh. The Dubai-born Japanese street-food restaurant’s opening in Saudi Arabia marks the international expansion of the brand.
Located in the new urban destination, Jeddah City Yard, also home to The House Hotel, Akiba Dori Jeddah presents a modern store-front styled space. The design is inspired by the food halls of Japan.
Akiba Dori founder Hamadeh, said: “The thought process behind the expansion is to continue to deliver on the promise we made, when we opened our doors in Dubai, three years ago. Our goal was to make Japanese food as accessible as possible to everyone in Dubai and beyond.
“Akiba Dori is a Japanese restaurant for people who have never been to Japan. Purely because our food is comfort food above all else, it is something that everyone can experience, enjoy and celebrate”

Diners in Jeddah will explore a selection of classic Japanese street-food dishes including sushi, Japanese curries, sandos, sliders, gyozas, desserts and more.
Highlights from the menu include Akiba rock shrimps, wagyu truffle maki, chicken katsu curry, and Akiba Dori’s Tokyo-style Neapolitan Pizzas, prepared in a Japanese wood-fired oven, using Japanese dough.
The space is complemented with the backdrop of neon lights and chilled lo-fi hip-hop tunes, that pays tribute to the style and streets of Akihabara, Japan.
The restaurant has a 130-person capacity, split between inside and outside, with the terrace offering views of Jeddah.
Akiba Dori Jeddah is open daily from noon to late.
